A recent telephone call from a client reminded us about another of major advantage of remote access login. When new fittings are added to an existing DALI controlled lighting project, they will need to be identified and added to the system. In the past, this required the expert in lighting control to be onsite to add the new fitting onto the system. With remote access, however, Control Lighting Ltd can send an identifier into the system from anywhere in the world.

This password protected access will cause all new fittings to flash in turn and a member of the local onsite maintenance team can be standing by in the room(s) and on their mobile phone to confirm which light fitting flashed.

Each new fitting can then be assigned to the appropriate group and a room and is thereby added to the lighting control system remotely.
